It started back in April '03, when both Stephen and Dom where currently playing in a local pub
band influenced by rock music, playing Bon Jovi to Chili Peppers, Stephen at the time was the
lead singer, with Dom playing lead guitar.
Both now bored with playing the same songs and venues for the last seven years, decided to
try something new, this was to go back to basics, and play acoustic guitars.
It was after a conversation with Stephens old next door neighbour that introduced the third
member, this was a young, talented, guitar playing, singer, enthused with the passion
of Rock 'n' Roll, this guy was full of attitude and was the face to front this new project.
John, with the influence of Lennon, and the attitude of Liam Gallagher, had the voice to suit the
bands style more than Stephen, who was more suited to rock.
They were now ready to take their influences and start the band that is now known as 'The Fallen'

The band are based in the North East of England in the seaside town of Saltburn, Cleveland, and
found a room within the local pub called the 'Victoria' which was renowned for live entertainment
(thanks to Dave Stokes, landlord at the the time). The guys started to build the foundations for this
new band venture.
It was the offer of a gig at the Victoria back in May '03, that was the starting block for the band to
perform for the first time, only three weeks to prepare around sixteen songs. This was a challenge
for the guys. The gig was a success and The Fallen were on their way.
Over the next couple of months, the band played various gigs around the local area, with highlights
from performing live on Radio Cleveland, to playing at the annual American Car Show held in
Saltburn. Things were moving fast, and the guys now wanted to take it to the next stage.

They felt that to take the band further they needed to go back to the full live sound of a group, but
needing to find a bass player and drummer was the next task to achieve.
Both John and Dom felt that Stephen should take on bass guitar, and with his fifteen years experience
on guitar, felt that he would take to this new challenge. Stephen had reservations with the idea but
knew, it was the right move, Stephen bought himself a bass or two, and booked himself some lessons
(thanks to Mick Hutch, bass teacher). Stephen took to the bass like a fish to water, and now plays
like he's always been playing.
Over the next few months, and many drummers came and left but the band practised hard,
played everywhere they could get a gig, and building up their stage presence and live performance.
The band were proving that they could be one of the top local pub bands.

In 2005 we introduced and finally got the missing piece to our jigsaw "Dave Buttery" our drummer
With Dave on Board we are already a more powerful unit, which show's in our live performance,
At last we can now all work as a Four piece band and with the help of Ian our manager we take take
this band upwards.

2009 again will be another great year for The fallen, with new venues and plenty of gigs throughout
the year, Our main Aim as a band is to have a load of new songs which we are starting to work on in
January, finally produce a CD and continue to work on our live performance, so when you come to watch
The fallen you have watched a rock n roll show and most of all had some fun. At this point we would
like to personally Thank you guys who come and watch the band and make it worthwhile doing!!! without
your support we are nothing!!! again THANKS!!! and see you in 2009...Rock n Roll
We are now ready to take on the world

Thanks
